Embracing Progress and A New Horizon:
Reflecting on 2023 and aspiring for 2024 with JAZRO Inclusive Education
As we bid farewell to the enriching experiences of 2023 and step into the promising landscape of 2024, it is with a heart full of gratitude and anticipation that I reflect on our journey of JAZRO robotic for Autistic Children.
Looking back at 2023, it was a year of growth, resilience, and profound learning. We navigated through challenges, celebrated successes, and, most importantly, witnessed the incredible achievements of our students. Their journey, filled with determination and accomplishments, reminds us of the boundless potential that lies within every individual. Each milestone achieved and every challenge overcome has been a testament to our commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment where every learner thrives. Some key milestones include:
✅ Completed a 3-month Arduino-Arts program (Aug-Oct 2023) with 10 students from Malaysia High Functioning Autism Association (MAHFAA), Cyberjaya
✅ Showcased Autistic student projects during RBTX Grand Final at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on 26 Oct 2023
✅ 22 total hours of Robotherapy sessions recorded
✅ 18 potential partners engaged with 6 active collaborations where we run programs together
✅ Collaborated with UPSI to co-organise the UPSI x JAZRO Knowledge Exchange Program for special education on 2-3 December 2023. The program is attended by at least 70 UPSI students & 4 Autistic children from Tanjung Malim, Perak
As we set our sights on 2024, we are filled with hope and enthusiasm for what lies ahead. This year marks a significant transition for us—a transformative evolution. With immense pride and excitement, I announce the establishment of JAZRO Inclusive Education (JAZIN), the expanded arm for JAZRO Robotherapy focusing on robotic and coding education for special needs children. This shift represents our unwavering commitment to inclusivity—a commitment to embrace a wider spectrum of learners, including more exceptional individuals into our educational community.
Accompanying this transformative change, I am deeply honoured to step into the role of Chief Learning Officer. This new chapter heralds an era where inclusivity is not just a goal but an intrinsic part of our identity—a journey toward creating an educational ecosystem that celebrates diversity and empowers every learner.
In 2024, our aspirations soar high. We envision a year where the establishment of JAZRO Inclusive Education will open doors to more opportunities, expand our outreach, and create an even more nurturing environment where each learner's unique abilities are recognized and cultivated.
